Fall at Five. Two. One.
Five. Two. One.

Welcome to our home! Well, things at the Scheidegger household are pretty much settled and it's time to begin the tour photo style. Today we will start with the downstairs minus the kitchen and we will work our way upstairs later this week!
Come and enter . . . My new friend Hannah made us this beautiful wreath for our front door! Isn't it pretty?!
Downstairs there is a little half bath, first stop on the tour.
Now let's head on into the living room, these french door swing like saloon doors! Ha!
I am still working on the arrangement above the couch going to add a clock and hopefully some little shelves.
You can't tell from this photo but the window are really long and tall, we bought curtains that were to short at first! My aunt gave us that pretty platter on the coffee table!
My sweet mom and Don gave us this beautiful rug as a housewarming gift!
Now onto the dining room which is still in progress!
Here is a pic of my fall table decor (Mom wanted to see) made from twigs in the backyard as seen in Southern Living.
There is a little built in bookshelf . . . it's decorated for fall! Those silver and while mugs were a gift in our welcome basket from the church!
Now that I am decorated, it's time to finish this painting which will hang on the opposite wall in the dining room.
Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back with the rest of the house soon!

Parades and Parties!
This past Saturday Adam and I went to the Milton Harvest Festival Parade in Milton of course! It was maybe 30 minutes away (but I have NO idea in what direction or how to get there!). Some new friends the Dilmans took us out for the day. So sweet!
Here are a few pics from the parade:
Don't you love this little train?
Check out this pipe organ!
This tractor is called the rose and it is pink!
Then, on Saturday the Church had the most amazing welcome party for us! It was a Texas Style Welcome Party. Everyone dressed up "Texas" style.
A team of folks even stayed up all night to roast a pig for the party! Let me tell you that was some delicious pulled pork! Yum. There were so many delicious food items to eat and of course some delicious cake! Here's a pic of that!
So cute, huh?
There were all kinds of activities going on as well! Horse rides, some sort of waterbaloon toss, skits, and even a dunking booth!!! Ha! Yes a dunking booth. Adam was presented with a Steelers Uniform (which is hilarious if you know how much he loves the Chiefs) and he had to put it on and get in to booth. Everyone then got to get in line and had to tell Adam something about themselves and then they could take a shot. Needless to say he went down several times and then others were put in the booth (not me, TY). Good times . . . and picture worthy of course.
People waiting in line to take Adam down!
Adam preparing to be dunked!
The decorations at the shin-dig were amazing as well. Here is one that I found exceptionally creative!
A tire pumpkin
It was a really fun time! We are so thankful for the ways that everyone welcomed us with gifts, time, and presence since we have been here. We are so grateful!

Farmer's Market Finds
Yes! I love farmer's markets! So much delicious fresh produce at great prices. In Lewisberg, just about 20 minutes away from us here in Sunbury there is a farmers market every Wednesday. They have EVERYTHING. Meats of all variets, Cheeses, Seafood, Flea Market Stuff, Candy, and of course So much fresh fruit and veggies. Not to mention a ton of food that you want to just stop and buy to eat (Like soft pretzels).
So take a look at my finds from today. This pictures does not include the scallops and crab cakes that I bought and we already ate for dinner. Thanks for your help with the recipe Mom, they turned out amazing!
Needless to say I will be back!

A Project!
Well, now this piece of furniture is going to go in the dining room. Right when we put in in there I knew I wanted to paint it. When there was a lot of light shinning on the green the color just didn't look the same and I didn't like it as much. Also, in the living room and dining room I am moving toward a primary palate of yellow, blue, and red with some neutrals thrown in.
So I decided to paint the dresser red! Here is color I used. It's called Caliente! It is a nice warm red.

Then, I added the color and a finishing coat of polyurethane so it's actually usable! Here is the finished product.
I lined the drawers too!

I'm back!
Hello World!
I'm back . . . back to blogging for good! We were sans internet for quite some time. It took Verizon a few weeks to set up our signal and then we found out a chipmunk or a squirrel had chewed the phone line which delayed the process even further! Ha! Yes . . . my Dallas friends life here is a bit different. :)
Let's see, where to begin. The good news is that you can count the number of "homesick breakdowns" that I have had on 1 hand. You don't even need the whole hand. Adam has been great through that because he has gone through a major move before. For those of you that don't know Adam is from St. Joseph, MO and he moved to Texas to go to Dallas Seminary (or to meet me!)
We initially had an abrupt arrival in town. Our car was sitting in the front of our new place as we stopped by to clean (our stuff hadn't arrived yet) and someone hit the mirror of the Jeep and did a bit of damage to the paint. It really wasn't that big of a deal though because they left a note and it currently being fixed. We knew God was looking out for us.
We were blessed to stay with a family from the church at arrive while we waiting for our stuff and they took great care of us, made great meals, and showed us around town. We are so grateful for that time as it was a soft landing into PA.

On our first Sunday at church, the hospitality team made us an amazing basket full of Pennsylvania stuff. Delicious treats, foods, candles, a cutting board made from PA wood and on and on. It was amazing and we felt so blessed. One of my favorites in the basket
were the whoopie pies, please see the amazing picture located above. They are cakey goodness with gooey icing. What could be better and why did I not know about these sooner. I will be learning to make these!
We are getting starting to get familiar with the area and finding things to enjoy! One thing Adam and I enjoy is going to the Marina by river and going for walks! There is a 1 mile loop you can walk around. I am looking forward to see the colors change at the marina please see the picture below. You can also rent Kayaks, bikes, tandem bikes, and more here! We hope to do this very soon.

There are many more events to catch up on, but I will be posting most of this week to catch up!
Have a great day!

Good-Byes and Hello!
Hello Everyone,
Sorry it's been days since I last posted, it wasn't easy to post on the road! We are officially here! We arrived around 7:30 Eastern time on Tuesday evening! We are still awaiting our boxes and furniture! The moving company expects that it will arrive on Saturday! We are currently staying with a really nice family from Sunbury Bible Church! They are allowing us to stay with them and cooking wonderful meals for us. We are so grateful.
Leaving was honestly harder than I could have even imagined. I definitely had moments of thinking "What in the world are we doing??", but I really do trust the Lord with this decision and we know that we sought the Lord through making this decision. He has blessed Adam and I with a lot of unity during this time as well. I am learning a lot right now about choosing to trust even when my emotions say something really different. Remembering that the Lord is faithful.
Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.
Here are a few pics of some of our last weeks in Texas! I'll post some new Pennsylvania pics soon!
Time with the beautiful Julia before leaving!
And they said Adam needed a new pair of shoes, aren't they great??
Becky and I took a quick trip to Austin before leaving and I ate raw oysters at Perla's for the first time, they were delicious! We had a great time on our trip! Love you!

Lisa and I went for one last evening of Yoga and Yogurt! So fun!
That's it for now . . . I'll be back soon!
